Arthritis Overview
Arthritis literally means "inflammation of a joint." In some forms of arthritis, such as osteoarthritis, the inflammation arises because the smooth
covering (articular cartilage) on the ends of bones become damaged or worn. Osteoarthritis is usually found in one, usually weightbearing, joint.
Achilles Tendinitis
Achilles tendinitis is a common condition that causes pain along the back of the leg near the heel.
The Achilles tendon is the largest tendon in the body. It connects your calf muscles to your heel bone and is used when you walk, run, and jump.
Herniated Disk
When people say they have a "slipped" or "ruptured" disk in their neck or lower back, what they are actually describing is a herniated disk-a common
source of pain in the neck, lower back, arms, or legs.
Diabetic Foot
If a doctor has ever said you had an elevated blood sugar level - even just once when you were pregnant - you are at risk for diabetes. About 23 million
people (roughly 15 percent of the United States population) have the disease. Nervous system impairment (neuropathy) is a major complication that may cause
you to lose feeling in your feet or hands.
Low Back Pain
Almost everyone will experience low back pain at some point in their lives. This pain can vary from mild to severe. It can be short-lived or long-lasting.
However it happens, low back pain can make many everyday activities difficult to do.
Electro Diagnostics (EMG/NCV)
Did you know that your body is an electrical generator? Nerves and muscles create electrical signals that deliver messages to and from your brain. Sensory
nerves deliver information about your surroundings to the brain. Motor nerves deliver signals from the brain to activate your muscles.
